ronald chwang

Dr. Ronald Chwang brings to the board experience in growing consumer-facing technology and electronics companies. He is the Managing Partner of ID SoftCapital and Chairman and President of iD Ventures America. Dr. Chwang currently serves actively on the boards of Airmagnet, CHil Semiconductor, and CoAdna Photonics, iRobot Corporation [ IRBT ] and Silicon Storage Technology Inc. [ SSTI ].

Prior to iD SoftCapital, Dr. Chwang was President and CEO of Acer America Corporation where, under his leadership, Acer America's revenue grew from $200 million to $1.44 billion. Before joining Acer, Dr. Chwang worked for several years in development and management positions at Intel and Bell Northern Research. Dr. Chwang received his B. Eng. Degree in Honors Electrical Engineering from McGill University in Montreal, Canada and his Ph.D. in EE from University of Southern California.
